Preoperative
In order for you to be able to have a pubic liposuction in complete safety, we must assess your general condition based on your possible drug and environmental allergies, personal and family pathological history, habitual and past medication, possible previous surgical interventions, toxic habits (tobacco), etc.
It is also necessary to have a general analysis, chest x-ray and electrocardiogram.

Surgical technique
We perform the surgery in the operating room, normally under local anesthesia.
The intervention usually lasts between 30 minutes.
Through a few small incisions, the cannulas are introduced that will help us to infiltrate the tissues of local anesthesia with adrenaline to achieve a vasoconstrictor effect. Later we proceed to the extraction of the fat thanks to some cannulas connected to an aspiration device, in this way we can extract the fatty accumulations located in the pubis.
This technique can also be performed with the help of a laser, called lipolaser or liposculpture. This allows the surgeon to melt the fat before extracting it, allowing a greater amount of fat to be extracted and providing greater skin firmness by favoring retraction or stretching of the skin, reducing possible skin flaccidity that may appear.
In all cases, both in liposuction, liposculpture or lipolaser, compression garments are placed that control inflammation and minimize the appearance of bruises.
POSTOPERATIVE
The surgery is outpatient. The discomfort is perfectly controlled with oral medication, local cryotherapy and the use of a compressive garment.
Swelling, pain sensation, occasional stinging, and tingling are normal.
Between the fourth or sixth day, we do the control in the consultation where we will remove the bandage, the stitches and we will start neural therapy for your greater comfort. We recommend the use of a special compression garment for the first month.
You will be able to incorporate relatively quickly into daily and work life, always following the specialist’s instructions, limiting strong physical activities for a few weeks, until you recover from the intervention.
Minimal incisions initially appear pinkish. From the 2nd or 3rd month they improve aesthetically. The final appearance of these scars is variable, depending on the characteristics of the skin of each person, but usually after a year they are imperceptible.
Swelling may be present at first. As this decreases and the tissues give way, they will be placed in their natural position.
